Toy Chest with wood wheelsSubmitted by: Scott |
PLEASE HELPI purchased this & don't know anything about it. It is a wooden chest that has wood wheels. The approximate dimensions are: 16" tall X 23" wide X 11" deep. The wheels are craved out of wood and the wooden axles are inserted through a hole in wheels. It is apparently completely hand made with all the cravings done by hand also. There is a small built in box inside (looks the size that may hold pencils). There are no markings of any kind, no initials, that could be used to identify the chest. The wheels all move and it looks to be in very good shape. Submit your estimate of worth |

Pairpoint Quadruple Plate Card box?Submitted by: Janice |
PLEASE HELPI have a card box passed down from my ?)Grandfather.....at least we believe it to be a card box. It is stamped on the bottom "MEN (?)PAIRPOINT MFG CO" and "BEDFORT (D?) MASS" and the number 2761. It is heavily embossed on all four sides with curly stuff and what looks like Sun Flowers. The top is scroll on both lids (a space in between the lids for 1 or do decks of cards standing upright) with another kind of flower and Bulldog (?) lid handles. I have never seen it polished and I am 70 yrs old. I know it was in their house before I was born. On one handle, one of the legs is cracked. but it all still works. OH and it has small feet that look like 5 little beads on the corners of the box. It has been well used and loved. Hoping you can help me out and tell me what it really is and maybe even what the value is today. Thank you. Submit your estimate of worth |

Hi Deb, Your LE Smith Glass Basket looks like a piece form the 60's or 70's. The company is still in business today. In 1975 the company was purchased by Owens-Illinois, Inc. of Toledo, Ohio, a glass container manufacturer. Smith continued to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary. L.E. Smith Glass Company was acquired by William Kelman in 2005 and is now known as Smith Glass Co.. I would estimate your basket between $15 to $30. Thanks, |

16 pc. dish set with stemmed yellow rosesSubmitted by: Christina |

PLEASE HELPThis was found in my great uncles house. It was made in the USA, has 22k gold on the edges. It has stemmed yellow roses on all the piece's. There is 4 teacups, 4 saucer's, 4 small pates, and 4 dinner plates. It has very small thin cracking in the dishes, I'm guessing because of the age. Any info would be great. 1939 New York World's Fair Belt Buckle - Please help appraiseSubmitted by: |
PLEASE HELPI have this 1939 New York World's Fair Belt Buckle in the original box. It been in my family since it was purchased, but there isn't really any sentimental value attached to it and I'm low on cash right now. It's silver in color, in very good condition as I don't think it's ever been worn. The box is a blue top and orange bottom. The box is not in the best shape, but the colors are still vibrant. All the detail can still be seen on the buckle itself. There is one slight scratch on the sphere. I have looked everywhere online, and only found one similar to this in bronze that was in horrible shape. It was listed on ebay for $35. I will probably list this for sale once I get a decent estimate of what it's actually worth. If you're interested in buying it, please let me know. Submit your estimate of worth |
Estimated Value submitted by Becky |
Hi, Your 1939 New York World's Fair Belt Buckle is estimated between $35 to $55. Due to the scratch you would probably be on the lower end. I don't know how bad the scratch is. If one is listed on eBay in bad condition I don't believe they will get $30. I know of one that sold for $55.55 in 2014 that was in excellent condition. If you sell it at auction be sure to place a minimum bet. Hope this helps. |
Old Rubbing of Asian Fighting MenSubmitted by: Paige |
PLEASE HELPI chose the above category for lack of a better one. What I have is an old Asian item. This appears to be a rubbing on rice paper of Chinese Fighting Men. It is about 6 feet long and 2 feet wide. It has some variation of color, but not much. It is cased in plastic, and I have not removed the plastic to feel of the paper. The edges almost seem to indicate a thinner piece of paper adhered to a more durable paper. I have tried to look it up online with no luck, and don't know where to go for an appraisal. I hope you can help. Submit your estimate of worth |
