Do you own antiques or collectibles but have no idea of their worth?

It can be very expensive to find out the value of your antiques. Why not use the internet to find out more information about your antiques and collectibles, or even post the item for sale and find potential buyers of your antiques (all for free!).

Click here for a free antique appraisal. Submit a description and a photo of your antique and find collectors willing to help out by estimating their worth.

Are you a dedicated antique collector? Help out fellow antique collectors by submitting your estimate of the below antiques. AntiquesNavigator offers this service completely free of charge, but other than antique padlocks we are not experts on all antiques and collectibles. If you own an extremely rare antique that belongs in the Smithsonian, you're probably better off putting the antique up for auction with Sotherby! However, if you have more commons antiques and collectibles and are curious to their worth, then we can help! AntiquesNavigator does not guarantee the accuracy of the free appraisal, so it might be a good idea to wait until you get at least a couple of responses from our readers before deciding the value of your antique or collectible.

Unifentified 12.5" hunting. Knife engraved with Boars Head handle HELP

Submitted by: Brand
Main Image

PLEASE HELP

I have a knife I received from a storage locker with a blade roughly 6.5" long and 12.5" from tip to handle. The handle is a dense wood with some brass or copper dressings including the boars head. The blade carries a signature I can not make out and is also engraved with a boat and other designs. It is in very good condition as it has not been used in a very long time. I appreciate if anyone can give me some insight or advice as I am no expert in the field. Thanks in advance.

You appear to have a custom made knife.  I believe it's worth around $20-50 dollars.  Here's a link to purchase the boars head pommel on the end of the knife:

Hi Zechariah,

Lotus Ware Vases typically sell between $300 to $400. Lotus Ware was produced from 1892 to 1896 and is considered to be the finest porcelain ever produced in the United States. Yours has extensive detail and looks to have raised jewels. These were also hand painted by various artist. I have seen these sell for as high as $700 you could possibly get more. You should take it and get a written appraisal before you decide to sell it for any price.

Beautiful piece,

PLEASE HELP

This statue is of a hobo holding out an old polaroid camera taking a picture of either himself or something else he might see in the veiw finder. He appears to have some age to it just by the condition of him, which is in very god condition, (see further notes below) He has a half grin on his face and has 2 alley cats at his feet watching him. The colors on the statue are still in pretty good condition, the hat has a "worn:? spot on the right rim (or it could be there on purpose). the coat seems to be blowing in a breeze and unfortunately one of the ripples on the back of the coat has been chipped off. I cannot find any identifying marks on this statue. Any ideas or is this just a piece I will be able to continue to enjoy myself? Thank you,

The makers mark on the bottom probably says Fein Zinn, which stands for lead free pewter (a common mark in 1800s).  I hope this info helps!

They look like Rosenthal hand painted vases to me.  Rosenthal antique hand painted vases typically sell in the $30-100 dollar range, but I've seen them go higher and lower.  Since they are hand painted, you'll probably never see the exact same design.  Here's the closest pair I could find to yours:

Hi Burak,

I think you have a folk art table.  Like all artwork, the value is in the eye of the beholder.  However, I think a price in the $400-1200 dollar range would be reasonable.  I don't think it matters whether you sell it now or wait for your children to sell it in the future, unless the artist (if known) becomes famous for their work.
